3rd International Conference on Food Bioactives & Health

The onset of the COVID-19 pandemic has been a major public health chracterized by unprecedented disruptions to daily life around the world. Scientific activiy has not remained aloof of this situation and dissemination of scientific results (one of the cornerstones of EU-funded projects) via international conferences has been dramatically disminished.

The 3rd International Conference on Bioactives & Health was an excellent opportunity to come back to normal and exchange knowledge in a face-to-face meeting. This was the first conference (and probably not the last one) in which we presented a poster describing the interesting results obtained within the PolyBiota project.

The poster entitled "Physiologically Relevant Curcuminoids Inhibit Angiogenesis via VEGFR2 in Human Aortic Endothelial Cells (HAECs)" describes cellular and molecular mechanisms by which curcuminoids modulate processess related to angiogenesis in vitro. A detailed description of these results are included in the open access article recently published in the journal Food and Chemical Toxicology. We also would like to share our poster if readers want to get an idea of our investigation before reading the manuscript. Please, do not heasitate to download it by clicking on this link.
