Highly Cited Researchers involved in the PolyBiota project (2021)

The prestigious international list entitled "Highly Cited Researchers" has included Dr. Antonio González-Sarrías, Prof. Juan Carlos Espín and Prof. Francisco A. Tomás Barberán in the ranking of pioneers scientists in their fields of investigation, demonstrated by the production of multiple highly-cited papers ranking in the top 1% by citations for field and year in the Web of Science.

These outstanding scientists develop their investigations in the Department of Food Science and Technology (CEBAS-CSIC). Their studies are intended to explain the inter-individual variability observed in individuals that show different responses to the consumption of plant-derived foodstuff. The results of these studies set the basis to step forward to personalized nutrition and provide beneficial effects against chronic diseases.

Prof. Espín, Dr. González-Sarrías and Prof. Tomás Barberán are all of them involved in the development of the PolyBiota project. Their experience and the quality of their investigations are the perfect match to accomplish the objectives of the PolyBiota project.
