Master Thesis Students

Ever since I was a little kid, I was fascinated by health sciences and the importance of diet in human health. My curiosity on this topic led me to rummage and flick every book that I could get my hands on, thus learning something new everyday. My passion for this field, led me take up
Human Nutrition and Dietetics bachelor at the University of Alicante. This was an exciting period in which I had the opportunity to learn the relation between diet and health from different angles. In 2021, I finished my bachelor degree, which was followed by a 6 weeks stay at CNIC (Spanish National Center for Cardiovascular Research) within the CICERONE program. I worked in the Cardiovascular Health and Imaging Laboratory (led by Dr. Rodrigo Fernández-Jiménez) where I analyzed data obtained from epidemiological studies focused on the promotion of human health.

At this point of my career, I have decided to start a Master's degree in Nutrition, Technology and Food Safety at the University of Murcia. This Master is an excellent opportunity to branch out my background knowledge to new fields such as the study of the axis diet-gut microbiota-human health within the EU-funded PolyBiota project.

Being part of the PolyBiota project is an exciting opportunity to do research (for the first time) in a pioneering group of investigation. Under the supervision of Dr. Giménez-Bastida, the results derived from my stay at CEBAS-CSIC will be the basis of my Master Thesis. I am delighted and grateful to be able to learn in a great group and with great researchers!
